MY story.
Natural Vet Co. represents a coming together between Conventional Veterinary Medicine and the knowledge of Natural Veterinary Therapies in a research based and integrative approach. Our ethos is to “Allow Nature, Heal Nature”. The company was founded by Dr. Sinéad Mellett MVB WHMC, who has merged all that she has learnt after working as a Veterinary Surgeon for 10 years here in Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and Australia into ‘Natural Vet Co.’
I grew up in West Clare and have a great respect for the natural, local environment which often harbors the greatest ingredients of healing. From a young age, I was shown how to use natural ingredients for medicinal purposes, to care for animals and our surroundings and to nurture nature kindly.

Now a mother to two beautiful daughters, I live in Co. Cork with my family. My husband, Eoghan, who also works as a Vet has supported me greatly throughout the creation of Natural Vet Co. over the past 3 years.
I began studying Herbal Medicine when working abroad and have since integrated this into my practice as a Vet. Looking for a healthier alternative to pharmaceutical based treatment plans, Western Herbal Medicine and the progress behind its evidence based research made me realise what is missing in Veterinary Medicine. From here, Natural Vet Co. evolved.
